Where is the pool located?
The pool is located on the fourth floor of The William Vale.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is heated at 80 degrees.
I am a hotel guest. Do I have to pay to use the pool?
Vale Pool is open to all hotel guests. Each guest staying at the hotel enjoys a 3-hour swimming session with a reserved terrace chaise lounge. Guests’ full name must be registered to their room booking to have complimentary pool access.

Can I extend my pool reservation?
Yes! Full day premium seating, including cabana, reclining daybed, lounge bed or pergola are available for purchase.
What are your hours of operation?
The pool is open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
What are the pool reservation seating time slots?
Terrace lounge chairs are complimentary for guests by reservation only. Guests may make 1 pool reservation per day during their stay. Our time slot reservations allow 15-minute intervals for our housekeeping staff to sanitize pool seating after each guest use.
Time slots are as follows:
8:00am to 10:15am
10:30am to 1:30pm
1:45pm to 4:45pm
5:00pm to 8:00pm

I have a hotel reservation. Can we use the pool before check-in and after check-out?
You are welcome to use the pool as a hotel guest. Pool access is available for hotel guests starting at 8am on the day of their check-in until 10:15am on the day of their check out. Guests may only book complimentary seating from 8:00am to 10:15am on their check-out date. This ensures guests checking in that day should have full availability to access to the pool prior to their check-in.
Premium seating is available for purchase. Purchase of premium seating provides access for the entire day from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Guests may purchase premium seating on the day of their check out if available.
Can I walk in?
Walk-ins are available based on availability.
I'm a hotel guest and my friends who live nearby want to come to the pool. Can they come with me?
Hotel guests cannot bring outside guests with them if they have complimentary reservations (3-hour terrace lounge chairs reservations.) If a guest has a premium reservation like a cabana, they can bring outside guests up to the capacity of the seating. Each guest must be registered when the reservation is made (no swapping of guests is permitted).
I am not staying at the hotel, but I would like to use the pool. Can I do that?
Day passes and a limited number of premium seating reservations are available to Non-Hotel Guests.

What is the price for a day pass if I am not staying at the hotel?
Day passes can be purchased by Non-Hotel Guests. For Weekends Day Passes and premium seating options, please contact us at pool@thewilliamvale.com.
Do you offer pool memberships?
At this time, we will not be offering pool memberships.
Do you serve food and beverage?
A refreshing poolside menu of summer bites and cocktails is available. Guests can order from the poolside menu from 11:00am to 7:00pm, please see the menu here.
Can we bring outside food to the pool?
Unfortunately, outside food and beverage is not permitted at the Vale Pool.
I am a guest of the hotel and want to bring my kids to the pool. Can I do that?
Children also staying at the hotel are most welcome at Vale Pool. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Only registered hotel guests may visit the pool and the number of total guests is limited to the room reservation.
Standard King, Gotham King, and Gotham Queen allows 2 guests to register.
All Suites, Double Double, and Vale Garden Residence room categories allows 4 guests to register.
*Must have first and last name of each guest registered to room for access to the Pool.
Can I bring my pet to the pool?
Service and therapy animals are welcome. However, while in the pool area, animals are strictly prohibited from entering the actual pool. All pets must be on a leash.
What is your cancellation policy?
Premium seating can be cancelled by 8:00am on the day prior to your reservation with no penalty. If a premium seating reservation is not cancelled, and the guest(s) does not show, the full cost of the seating will be charged.
Premium seating booked for Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends must be cancelled 7 days prior to the date of the reservation to receive a full refund. Any cancellations after this period will result in the full cost of the seating being charged.
Full refunds will be given if the pool is closed for the day due to rain. We will treat any partial closures due to inclement weather on a case-by-case basis, and refund reservations accordingly.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Is there a lifeguard on duty?
Yes. There is a lifeguard daily from 8am to 8:00pm.
Are there showers?
We provide outdoor showers, to rinse off before or after entering the pool. Shampoo, soap, and other beauty products are not permitted. Only 1 guest at a time is permitted to use the shower.
Are there lockers and/or changing rooms?
We do not provide lockers. All guests are responsible for their belongings. We recommend changing in your guestroom.
Are there saunas and hot tubs at the pool?
2 saunas and 2 hot tubs are available at the Vale Pool. Advanced reservations are required.
What is the price for Sauna and Hot tub?
2 types of appointments will be offered:
- Sauna Only: $60/person for a 45-minute appointment
- Hot Tub Only: $60/person for a 45-minute appointment

Can I book sauna + hot tub experience at the same time?
Guests can book back-to-back Sauna/Hot Tub appointments to experience both amenities.
A Vale Pool reservation, including premium or complimentary seatings, is required for Sauna/Hot Tub appointments.
Guests can book Sauna/Hot Tub appointments during their scheduled Vale Pool sessions only, including complimentary 3-hour sessions and premium all-day sessions.

How can I send gifts/Champagne/food to a guest at Vale Pool?

Does Vale Pool have any poolside products?

Where is The Winter Spa located?
The Winter Spa is located on the 4th floor of The William Vale, located at 111 N 12th St, Brooklyn.
Are reservations required?
Reservations are recommended, but not required. Walk ins can be accommodated if availability allows.
Is parking available?
Garage parking is available on a first come, first serve basis. For pricing and more information, visit https://www.thewilliamvale.com/parking/
Do you have lockers available?
The Winter Spa does not have lockers available for guest use. We recommend you leave your valuables at home or in your guest room safe.
Are showers available?
The Winter Spa does not have any showers for guests to use.
Is there a dress code?
Wearing a bathing suit is most recommended. You must be at least partially clothed to enjoy the Winter Spa and the amenities. Robes and slippers will be provided for your appointment.
Is there an area I can change?
There is a private changing area inside each barrel sauna.
Can I bring food/drinks?
Food or drink is not permitted at the Winter Spa. Water will be provided at the spa for your convenience.
What is your cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel your spa reservation, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours prior to your reservation date & time. Cancellations made after that time will be charged the full price of the spa experience. No-shows will also be charged the full price of the experience.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your start time. This will give time to check-in, sign a safety waiver and learn of our safety guidelines, allowing you to enjoy your timed session in full.
What if I am running late for my appointment?
Out of consideration for other guests using the Winter Spa, we cannot extend reservations in the event of a late arrival. Upon your arrival, we will admit you into the spa for the remainder of your timed session.
How many people can I bring?
Each session can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. If you would like to bring a larger party, you are welcome to reserve multiple saunas, based on availability.
Where can I make my reservation?
Reservations can be made at Winter Spa.
How is payment taken for my reservation?
Payment is taken the moment after you book your reservation online. You will be asked to submit payment information before you can complete your booking.
I am going to be staying at The William Vale, and would like my spa services charged to my room. How can I do this?
Contact us at winterspa@thewilliamvale.com prior to booking your reservation and a staff member will assist you.
What safety procedures are in places at the spa?
At the Winter Spa, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. After every session, each sauna is thoroughly wiped down and high touch surfaces on saunas and hot tubs are sanitized. Your spa session will be private, and other saunas and hot tubs have been properly socially distanced. Do I need to wear a mask at the spa?
It is your choice to wear a mask or not. According to the Department of Health, masks are generally not recommended in saunas or hot tubs.
Are vaccinations required to use the Winter Spa?
Vaccinations are not required to use Winter Spa at this time. This may change based on local or health department updates during the season.
Is there an age requirement to use the Winter Spa?
Guests must be at least 16 years of age to use the Winter Spa. Guests between the ages of 16 to 18 be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the Winter Spa.
Are there any health benefits to using a sauna?
Yes! Sauna use can improve overall health, wellness, and performance, reduce stress, relax muscles, aches, and pains, cleanse the skin, aid in recovery after intense physical activity, and induce deeper, more relaxed sleep.
What is the best way to use the saunas?
We recommend using the sauna in 15 minute intervals, followed by a brief 5-10 minute break, and then repeating. Remember to rehydrate!
Can I use the Winter Spa if I am pregnant?
Pregnant women should consult their physician before using the saunas or hot tubs at the Winter Spa.
Will other people share my sauna/hot tub?
Your sauna/hot tub will be completely private during your session. Out of respect for other guests, we ask that you do not enter any other Saunas or Hot Tubs during your session.
WHAT IS THE SKATING SURFACE AT VALE RINK?
Vale Rink is specifically made with Glice's sustainable synthetic ice, requiring no use of power or water. A one-of-a-kind alternative to a traditional ice skating rink, Glice's technology provides a similar skating surface to ice without the cold and wetness, allowing visitors the opportunity to enjoy Vale Rink in chilly weather.

Vale Rink is located on the 23rd floor rooftop of The William Vale in 111 N. 12th Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
WHEN IS VALE RINK OPEN?
Vale Rink is open seasonally Wednesday through Sunday with hours of operations as follows:
- Wednesday to Friday: 2PM to 10PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 12PM to 10PM
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SKATE AT VALE RINK?
Admission to Vale Rink is $20.00 + taxes for Adults (13 and above), $12.00 + taxes for Children (12 and below).
HOW DO I MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR GLICE SKATING TIME?

WHAT ARE THE TIME SLOTS?
Time slots run every half hour (as indicated in hours of operation below):
Wednesday to Friday: 2PM to 10PM
Saturday to Sunday: 12PM to 10PM
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
Should your plans change and you need to cancel, please let us know 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time. For any cancelations within 24 hours, please email us directly at valerink@thewilliamvale.com.
MAY I VISIT VALE RINK WITHOUT BOOKING A SESSION?
Yes, you can visit Vale Rink without booking a session, only during normal hours of operations.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT AT VALE RINK?
Vale Rink only accepts credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express). We do not accept cash, checks, apple pay or google pay.
ARE SKATES AND LOCKERS AVAILABLE FOR RENT?
Yes, skates and locker rentals are included in the price of admission. Vale Rink is not responsible for any loss or damage of your personal belongings.
DO YOU HAVE FIGURE SKATES OR HOCKEY SKATES?
Neither, we offer Glice skates that are compatible with Glice’s surface.
CAN I BRING MY OWN SKATES?
Only Glice skates are permitted to use at Vale Rink.
DO YOU OFFER SKATE SHARPENING?
Unfortunately, we do not offer skate sharpening.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO SKATING AT VALE RINK?
Children between the ages 4 and 17 must be supervised by an adult. Glice skating is not suitable for children ages 3 or younger.
DO YOU HAVE SKATES FOR SMALL KIDS? WHAT’S THE LARGEST SIZE?
Yes, our smallest size US 1 and our largest size is US 13.
DO YOU DO GROUP ADMISSION RATES OR PRIVATE PARTIES?

MAY I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGE TO VALE RINK?
Food and drink are not permitted at Vale Rink. Skating while under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
IS SMOKING ALLOWED AT VALE RINK?
The William Vale is a non-smoking property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere. This includes Vale Rink enclosure and outdoor areas on the 23rd Floor.
WILL VALE RINK OPEN UNDER INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Rink closures or delays in admission due to inclement weather (snow, rain, hail and heavy wind) are subject to discretion of Vale Rink.
