The pool is open exclusively to hotel guests weather permitting from 8am - 5:30 pm.

I am a hotel guest. Do I have to pay to use the pool?
Hotel guests do not have to pay to use the pool, but reservations are required. Each guest is limited to one pool 3-hour reservation per day. Guests first and last names must be registered to their room to gain entry to the pool. To make a reservation, contact [email protected], and we would be happy to assist you.
I have a hotel reservation. Can we use the pool before check-in and after check-out?
You are welcome to use the pool as a hotel guest. Pool access is available for guests starting at 8am on the day of their check in until 11am on the day of their check out. Once you are checked out, access to Vale Pool is no longer available. This ensures guests checking in that day will have full availability to access to the pool prior to their check-in. Reservations for a 3-hour time slot are required to access the pool. All pool bookings must be reserved in advance by contacting the front desk or emailing [email protected] Premium seating is available for purchase. Purchase of premium seating provides access for the entire day from 8am to 5:30pm.
What are the Vale Pool reservation time slots?
All chaise lounge chairs are complimentary. Each reservation is for 3 hours. Time slots are as follows:

I am a hotel guest and my friends who live nearby want to come to the pool. Can they come with me?
Pool usage is exclusive to registered hotel guests only.
I am not staying at the hotel, but I would like to use the pool. Can I do that?
No, access to Vale Pool will only be provided to hotel guests this season.
What social distancing protocols are being practiced?
All pool seating has been stationed to comply with the CDC regulations for social distancing. Please do not rearrange your seats when you enter the pool deck. Guests are required to maintain a 6-foot distance from others not included in their party.
Do I have to wear a mask at the pool?
Yes, while you are on the pool deck, a face mask or covering must be worn at all times when you are not in the pool. You may leave your mask off while lounging on your designated seating area as we have properly distanced the seating stations.
Is the pool deck sanitary?
Our time slot reservations allow a 15-minute interval for our housekeeping staff to sanitize pool seating after each guest use.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is heated at 80 degrees.
Do you offer pool day passes?
Day passes are sold out for the remainder of the season.
Do you offer pool memberships?
We are currently sold out of pool memberships for the remainder of the season.
Do you serve food and drinks?
Food and bar service is available Monday through Sunday 11:00am to 5pm. Food service concludes Sunday, 9/27. Bar service concludes Sunday, 10/4.
Can we bring outside food to the pool?
We are happy to offer food and bar service is available daily. No outside food and drink is permitted. Please enjoy your food on the pool bridge as food consumption is not allowed on the pool deck.
I am a guest of the hotel and want to bring my kids to the pool. Can I do that?
Children also staying at the hotel are most welcome at Vale Pool. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Only registered hotel guests may visit the pool and the number of total guests is limited to the room reservation.
Gotham Corner Suites, One Bedroom Suites, Vale Garden Residence, and Double Double room categories allows 4 guests to register.
King with Balcony, Gotham King with Balcony, Queen with Balcony, and Gotham Queen with Balcony allows 2 guests to register.
*Must have first and last name of each guest registered to room for access to the Pool.
Can I bring my pet to the pool?
Service and therapy animals are welcome. However, while in the pool area, animals are strictly prohibited from entering the actual pool.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refunds will be given for premium seating if pool is closed due to rain. Premium seating can be cancelled same day as reservation with no penalty. If a premium seating reservation is not cancelled this will be considered a no-show, and the full cost of the seating will be charged.
What if the weather does not cooperate?
We will treat any inclement weather on a case-by-case basis, and refund premium seating reservations accordingly.
Can I walk in?
Vale Pool is exclusive to hotel guests only. All 3-hour pool reservations must be booked in advance by contacting the front desk or emailing [email protected]
Is there a lifeguard on duty?
Yes. There is a lifeguard daily from 8am-5:30pm.
Are there showers?
We provide outdoor showers, to rinse off before entering the pool. Only 1 guest at a time is permitted to use the shower.
Are there lockers and/or changing rooms?
We do not provide lockers. All guests are responsible for their belongings. We recommend changing in your guestroom.
Is there a gym?
We have a fitness center; however, it is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. All gym access is complimentary and must be reserved through the front desk or by emailing [email protected] No more than 2 guests are allowed in gym at any time. Face masks must be worn. Housekeeping will sanitize the equipment after each guest use.
When can I use the gym?
Daily time slots for gym use are 30 minutes each. Each guest can reserve up to 3 slots per day. The time slots are as follows:

Where is The Winter Spa located?
Winter Spa is located on the 11th floor of The William Vale in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. 111 North 12th Street Brooklyn, NY 11249.
When is Winter Spa Open?
Winter Spa is open Thursday – Monday from 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The last session will be at 8:05 PM.
What types of treatments are available at the Winter Spa?
Shapehouse will be offering their popular infrared sauna wraps. Using FAR infrared sweat technology to provide a deep, penetrating heat that warms the body from the inside out, resulting in a profoundly cleansing sweat (all while reclining in a comfy bed and catching up on your favorite shows via our Roku TV’s.
What are the benefits of sweat sessions?
Sweating is a natural form of detoxification that helps the body to free itself from contaminates, resulting in weight loss, brighter skin, deeper sleep, and increased energy. Sweating also helps boost endorphins, alleviate migraines, and sooths muscle soreness. It strengthens immunity, and assists with mood improvement, stress relief, and hormone balance.

Single Sweat Session - $85 for 55 Minutes
Couple’s Sweat Session - $170 for 55 Minutes
Are reservations required in advance?
Yes, in order to maintain social distancing guidelines, reservations must be made in advance via our booking line. (hyperlink) Please fill out the safety waiver when making your reservation as well here.
What should I wear?
You should dress in comfortable, casual, skin covering clothing. We suggest more cotton, less lycra (so, think pajama bottoms or light sweatpants and a long sleeve t-shirt opposed to skintight items. Breathable fabrics are the name of the game. Your feet also need to be covered, so socks are key.
Should I bring a change of clothing?
Yes, we strongly advise bringing clothing to change into after your sweat is finished, because you’ll probably be drenched.
Where can I change?
Your room will be yours for the duration of your session, with the exception of our host helping you at the beginning and end of your session. Rooms can be used as a changing room as well. Don’t worry. We heavily sanitize after each session!
Is there anyone who should not sweat?
If you have a chronic condition that makes you extremely sensitive to temperature, we recommend checking with your doctor before booking a sweat session. The same advice applies to those who have recently sustained an injury and/or undergone a surgey. If you have hemophilia or take certain medications (including blood thinners), we typically recommend against sweating. Pregnant women cannot sweat. If you have been advised to stay away from heat or have any concerns or questions regarding medical conditions and sweating please talk to your doctor, and also feel free to reach out to us by email at [email protected]
How do I cancel a session?
This link takes you to the Shapehouse booking system, where you may log in to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your originally scheduled time. Late cancellations, no-shows and/or late arrivals result in an automatic charge and/or loss of session.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SKATE AT VALE RINK?
Admission to Vale Rink is $20 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.

WHAT ARE THE TIME SLOTS?
Each 50-minute reservation can be booked at the top of the hour and half hour.
Saturday & Sunday:
A 10-minute grace period applies to all reservations.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
Should your plans change and you need to cancel, please let us know in advance of your scheduled time. We are happy to approve a refund that is requested through Eventbrite prior to your skate session. If you do not cancel in advance and do not show up for your skate session, we will be unable to refund your fee.
MAY I VISIT VALE RINK WITHOUT BOOKING A SESSION?
No, in order to follow social distancing guidelines, every person who visits Vale Rink must book a skating session so we may accurately manage capacity. If you are booking a session for a child, the adult(s) supervising must also book a skating session.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT AT VALE RINK?
The Vale Rink only accepts card payments (Visa, Mastercard and Amex). No cash please.
DO YOU HAVE SKATES AND LOCKERS AVAILABLE FOR RENT?
Yes. In fact, skate and locker rentals are included in the price of admission.
WHAT TYPE OF SURFACE IS THE VALE SKATING RINK?
Vale Rink is a holiday skating rink, however, our rink’s surface is not ice! We have partnered with Glice USA, a company that has used new technology to create polymer panels that simulate the glide and feel of ice. The surface is impact absorbent and environmentally friendly!
DO YOU HAVE FIGURE SKATES OR HOCKEY SKATES?
Neither! We use our own brand of Glice skates that are compatible with Glice’s surface.
CAN I BRING MY OWN SKATES?
Yes. However, skates must be sharp and in excellent working condition to be used on our skating surface. Discretion of the Vale Rink team will be final on skate condition.
DO YOU OFFER SKATE SHARPENING?
Unfortunately, no. If you’d like to use your own skates, you need to ensure their sharpness on your own.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO SKATE?
There are no age restrictions for skating. Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult. Children 6 and under must be accompanied on the rink by an adult.
DO YOU HAVE SKATES FOR SMALL KIDS? WHAT’S THE LARGEST SIZE?
Yes; our smallest size is 25 (EU) – which translates to 9JR for boys and 11JR for girls. Our largest size is 47 (EU) – which translates to a men’s size 13.

WHAT IF IT RAINS/SNOWS?
The surface of the rink can handle a certain amount of weather. Rink closures or delays in admission due to inclement weather are subject to the discretion of the supervisor and rink guards on duty.
